Internet Marketing: The learning curve

The “secrets” of business and life success lies in what I choose to call “the learning curve”. Many have called it what it pleases them but whichever way you choose to look at it, Understanding this concept will help you succeed in whatever you choose to do.

According to Wikipedia, the term learning curve refers to a relationship between the duration of learning or experience and the resulting progress.

If you are reading this I suppose you understand what internet marketing means and you may want to ask, What do I mean by “the learning curve” and how does that apply to internet Marketing? I will explain all that in a moment but before I do, I will like you to bear in mind that this article is not to scare you but to get you informed and prepared.

Now talking about the subject matter of the day, “Internet Marketing: The learning curve”. I will be right to say that anyone desiring to build a lasting business system online need to realize that he or she can not do without the learning. This is where the learning curve comes in. 

This is the magic concept that differentiates the successful internet marketer from mere dreamers. If you are to see progress or become successful then you should be considering what you have to learn, the experience you could gain over time as you put to practice what you are learning.

Becoming successful in internet marketing, you have to brace up to the fact that you need to learn a lot and keep improving yourself as you gain better experience with practice. Also bear in mind that there is no fixed learning curve with internet marketing as there are bound to be changes. It’s an ongoing process.
 
For the beginner, you will have to learn a lot about internet marketing, VRE, keyword research, forums, blogging, writing and submission of articles, creating a niche content website, marketing strategies, driving traffic, site promotion, SEO, SMO, list building, using autoresponders etc. 

…That’s just a small fraction of its learning curve.

As you advance, you might begin to see the need to learn HTML, graphic design, web design, copywriting, business automation methods, writing effective ad and sale copy, maintaining customer relationships, building relationship with other internet marketers, and marketing yourself, the list is simply inexhaustible.

Dear friend, if you truly want to take internet marketing as a business then you can’t ignore the need of learning the basics of most of these skills. Remember it’s a continuous process so don’t be in a hurry to get it all at the start.

Apart from these core things, what amazes me most is how you can not separate what you have to learn from who you are. By who you are I mean understanding yourself. Take of instance, what are your strengths, weakness, passion, interests, skills, past experience etc. These are aspect of your personal life.

There are other areas of your life like Social, mental, spiritual which also plays direct and indirect role in what you have chosen to pursue. All these aspect put together will help you achieve sustainable success, if you understand how to maximize them to your advantage.

This may sound crazy, but neglect it and get frustrated. I think this should be the starting point of what we are to learn but we may not understand it until we are in. So don’t let it bother you just get in, with time you will come to see the entire picture then you will have a better understanding of how to maximize them to your advantage.
