Immediately you submit the form you are automatically redirected to very lengthy sales page on the latest secrets. You either read the mail online or print it out.

Next you log on yahoo messenger to chat with your friend that just travel to Canada or old internet friend. The discussion takes another 30mins.

And it goes on and on like that.

This has become habit. It is a non productive habit.

A habit is what we do automatically. But it can be changed.

I am glad that God has given you such insight as to understanding the challenges the average Nigerian or African in general faces when s/he has the purpose and will to succeed on line. Not only that, you have also been given the the sympathy and concern enough to want to address the issue.

One of the major challenges we all face is that of POOR/BAD HABITS online or offline, and it is posing a lot of difficulties in terms of being as productive as we would have wanted to be.

I must confess that i’m also facing the same challenge and i hope to overcome it.

“BEFORE” CONTEST STORY.

I love Computers and the Internet(i had heard about the internet long before ‘98, but the first cafe came to life where i live around 2000).I’d have loved to have been involved then, but i was so busy in Medical School that i had to wait till i gaduated.

I just got serious with the internet in September 2007, and started at about that time.

I have since tried Paid online Surveys, Get paid to post programmes, Google Adsense( Blogger especially was done for me by someone i met online ), selling E-books online at forums, e.t.c, but with little success.

My greatest challenges online have been;

1.Difficulty in procuring a Reliable Payment Processing Company Online Account to cash commissions here in Nigeria.

2.I don’t have a “real” Website yet(Only Blogs which were designed for me—> http://xnetkazeem.blogspot.com).

I pray i get something that works at the end of the contest.

I have been on the internet for abouth three years now.i have created information products locally,but later i lost focus.
I picked my internet business once again and i built some blogs and piggybacked on a popular forum in Nigeria,thereby earning some income with adsense.
I sometime go online and read sales pitches,i even tried out some products and it did not work out.
I then opted for a turnkey website which has not earned me a cent since i subsribed for it because i did not know how to nuture it.
Few days ago,i installed an internet forum http://myfirstopinion.com using phpBB software.Though i am still finding it difficult to monetise the forum.

I always believe in my internet dream and I think i am boucing back.

Well for me this is a good challenge to keep us focus online in acheiving our online dreams.

Personally i have tried some hypes online, never got anything, as i could not withdraw the money before they disappear, got into massive gold mlm, using e-gold, made about $150 before they were scrambled or so, i withdrew this one.

When i started online, i only check my mails, some times i spend alot of time trying to read the volumes of mails that come in daily, i think its a time killer, i dont chat ,but recently it has become a distraction so many at times i disable my messenger, i got into forex about 2yrs ago, and it has really consumed more of my internet hours, iread research and trade,hence it takes my time. andi read alot and research the net about stocks and other investment biz.
To a very large extent forex and stocks investment has worked for me and then the newnigeria club too, and lately the sen2020 network.
Tianshi didnt work for me, maybe becos i was not focus on marketing,and i dont take drugs, now am learning the rope of marketing to drive anything i want to do.
If for no other reason this contest will accelerate my learning process, but i will strive to win.

First and foremost I want to commend your initiative in bringing out this contest.My internet experience started around late 2006 and since I started I had wanted to know how to make money online,so basically what I do is to check my e-mail and also to read aticles on how to set up a blog,web design and I also downloaded e-books that I read at home and by the grace of God and by self study and also through SDE,I set up my blogs http://successstrategies.blogspot.com,

I spend my internet time checking my mails,posting and reading other peoples post on forums and chatting with my friends both at home and abroad thru social networking sites.
Adsense has worked a bit though i am yet to recoup my initial investment in buying domain and web hosting and its over a year now.Blogging hasnt worked as i found it hard putting adsense on it.

MY STORY BEFORE THE CONTEST

Over the past one year I have develop interest in making money online due to the huge benefit it promise so I sign up for free reports through reading get to paid e-mails which exposed me to a lot of internet marketers promising me goodies and which I fall for and this is what I have get used on the long run.Though some of the report help me to understand the industry very well and it is what i read every now and then when I visit the cafe. I tried blogging for a while but could not carry on because of lack of content.

My Story Before This Contest

How would I really start………

I had always wanted to make a full time income online but have always been hampered by tools and resources at the beginning. I had learnt about online marketing studying on my own, reading SD, attending seminars and meetings but I used to think my greatest drawback had always been my lack of facilities like computer and online connection to practice what I had been learning.

So I had to work with cafes but even then finding decent ones was always a problem, I got cafes that I would have a pact with them to reserve certain systems for me only to work on them and come back the next day to see that all my efforts the previous days, sometimes even nights have been wasted.

My interests online have began to vary, I used my time to research for business opportunities, schools abroad and study things happening in the online marketing world pending when I believed I would have the right systems in place to be able to launch fully.

Last year, I was able to get these things in place but shifted focus from my core Internet Marketing Business to some other online ventures which really left a bitter taste in my mouth. Since then I have to rebuild from the scratch and my greatest challenge is getting to make my online income steady. It has been a constant challenge for me to stay focused online cos I always get carried away with researching other people’s sites, reading blogs and sales letters because I hope to be like them instead of creating my own.

I am entering this contest to serve as a motivation for me to focus and build my business. Fortunately for me, I have an idea of what I need to do to get there, I am not targeting the $10 price because its something I have earned before but my aim is to earn constant stream of income with a minimum of $1000 a month. Your star price appeals to me because it would be a dream come true for me to meet other online super stars so that would be where I would be focusing my goals. This is wonderful rich kid, but what i dont understand is what exactly we would be doing for the 21days. I have tried so many things online that didnt realy work. Are we to sell goods, write articles or what. I am interested in this and wish to know more.

i have been on-line since 2000 but got into on-line biz in 2006.to b precise trading forex,didnt start making money in forex till 2007,but kind of slowed down in the trade cos it’s a technical market nd also lost money too.i gave up trading forex and started attending seminars on internet marketing,i travell all the way 4rm benin to attend seminars in lagos,but stil havent made money 4rm it.hoping to share my own success story like you.as they say success robs off on you when you associate with successful people.

I have been trying to make money online for about 2years now with nothing to show for it. Have attended a couple of seminars and bought some material on internet marketing and the likes. Last year I attended a seminar on forex and made frantic effort to break through but is like the more i try the more challenges i meet. Having spend so much energy,money and time on forex, Iam entering this context with a forum on forex . I have every conviction that I will win, because I have immerse passion for it.

My Story :

I became serious with Internet Marketing in 2006. I started with Google Adwords but could not go far due to the fact that I was not informed about the key points that lead to successes in Internet Marketing. These are determination to succeed in face of failure, doggedness in spite of socio economic challenges (Power supply, Internet Service, Family Pressure), readiness to learn, prompt practice of what you learn.

I recoiled when there was no immediate success in Google Adwords. I started attending several seminars on various aspects of Internet Marketing. The later challenge I had was how to decide the area to focus on as a beginner, having learnt about bogging, affiliate marketing, adsense, email marketing and host of others.

At the end of last year I joined SB Mastermind group anchored by Rich Kid, this had greatly helped me to find a reference point. The DTI 4 seminar earlier this year at SADC had really strengthened my practical understanding of some of these topics. Till date I am yet to make money online but I am sure that I will give the testimony of success very soon.

Most of the time that I am on the net I checked mails, download materials and try to get resources that will be of benefit to me.

I always wanted to be an internet marketer but I dont know how to go about it or who to meet to teach me considering the fact that Iam in Bauchi state studying petroluem engineering(I actually wanted to study Info Tech)in ATBU Bauchi.

My story changed when I heard about richkid,Akin Alabi, and Olufisayo in SDE so I decide to go on a google search to study them. It was there i learn almost everything about Lateef Olajide and the Internet. so I decide to sign up on InternetmarkertingNigeria and Internetmarketingsingapore Thats exactly where I started on Internetmarketing.

The best thing that ever happened to me was to leave my school and everything in Bauchi to travel to Lagos purposely to attend a weekend fast track session with Lateef where I ended up spending 25days in lagos on my own without knowing anybody in Lagos and going to Lagos for the First time. There I spent days and night in the cafe’ trying to get everything about what rich kid thought me and also expanding my knowledge on internetmarketing through forums and blogs.

I have not earned anything yet but with this contest I beleive all my efforts towards IM with not be in vain.

Iam going to put more efforts starting from 1st June.

Since I met Rich Kid I decided to embrace IM wholehartedly for the rest of my life. and hence forth this is what I will be doing.

I had since mastered to some certain extent the use of the internet for some certain purposes like research and email. I am working in an IT firm now and i desire to make extra bucks because my take home pay cannot take me home. I also wish to ultimately be my own boss in the nearest future. I was down after my fathers death cos i lost all hope of succeeding in life.Though before my father die,i was introduce to the internet by a yeruba friend of mine.back then in 2001 when i was in secondary school.But i didnt know that i can make money from the internet legally.It was my contact with success digest magazine that open the way to me.

But i now know i will make it and great i am one of the five people going to singapore.

I have been on the internet since 2005 trying to find the right way to make money online with no avail,the most recent was a paid mail wbesite that promised to pay me 1000usd when i get to that amount,i did come online everyday registering people and reading mails untill it got to the stated amount and as i tell you i have not received any dime from them,lots of time wasted,lots of money wasted.

Well I started my internet business on the 8/06/2006 with get to read mails to no avail, the other one was multi level maketing and promoting autoresponder through article writing. But none of these program yeilded any good result. I only wasted money and time.

I have bought all manner of information packages from netpreneurs and set up accounts with Click bank, Goggle, and a lot of Merchants as affiliate marketer. However one problem or the other kept standing on my way of making money online. Notable among them is the issue of solving the challenge of online payment/receiving system and having a credible mentor that will hold ones hand and lead through the teething problems always faced by a new beginner.
I have succeeded in getting my own PC which I think is one of the vital requirements of getting organized. I attended the Demystifying The Internet 4 seminar of February 2008.

I always knew it is possible to make money online but did not know how to go about it, I did a lot of email checking and e-book reading, i also paid for and hosted a website that did not generate a dime, i guess i really did not do much about the site to be in the position to say it was a flop.
I should say i have invested a bit in my quest for financial freedom, fortunately for me i did not really spend too much money attending seminars.
I eventually attended a life changing seminar at SADC and that has brought me to where i am today.
Presently i have a few sites that are generating income but not as much as i would love.

I know that there are so many ways to make money online and i have tried but am skeptical over such as so many scam are existing these days;imagine a colleaque lost over $200 to a canadian some months ago.
i do spend more time reading write ups and publications and am interested in having some cash to advance my knowledge and it cost hell to pay online tuition fees, especially from British institutions, however,i understand that for our country to grow we need all these professional courses,therefore i believe that i can be of help to many, through publications and write up.Example i went on a goose chase to get material for diploma in CQI(Chartered Quality assurance institute) but found none that is free and such found cost much to an average Nigerian in terms of pound sterling, therefor, a lot has to be done on issues like these and i think i am interested if given the oppoutunity.

My name is Gideon George, I started working seriously on this contest on the 1st of June 2008. I have never made a dollar on line before this contest and also I have never created a website,forum or blog before this contest but I told my self that I was going to try my possible best to see that I did something in order to win the contest.

First I created a blog http://www.mysnoringrelief.com and started presaling and giving some helpfull tips and posting my daily activities in my twitter page http://www.twitter.com/gideon_george according to the contest. How ever as a novice, I encountered alot of problems to the extend that I thought of quiting the contest and concentrate on some other things atleast to learn everything step by step but I just continued as I really wanted to be among the first five to get the rewards.
Some of the problems I encountered was adding adsense to my blog, writing quality content, choosing the right theme and pluggins, driving traffic and the biggest problem was how to monetize it effectively.

I started making money very late, almost very close to the last week of the contest.But I thank God I finally made it. but the problem is that I made it very late.

I thank God and also I thank the internet business club(www.internetbusinessclubng.com) for the help throughout the contest.
