In response to my article title “It is time to march forward” I received the message from one of my subscriber. Here is copy of his message.
Re: March your way to success!
Dear Rich Kid,
Its a great pleasure that you are concerned about my internet breakthrough but i have been finding it difficult to access some their payment option cos I am not have paypal account or credit card(there is no US address or phone number I can use to open the required information.
Please, kindly help me out with this .
I shall be looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours Sincerely
DS (senders name abrevated for a purpose)
Now here is my response:
Let me first list out points from above question:
Paypal account
Credit card
USA address
Int’l phone number
Let us start with the credit card. Credit card shouldn’t be problem for nigerians that want to buy anything online ‘provided legitimate’ with the service that is available from most local banks. I have been using mastercard prepaid credit card that I got from zenithbank nigeria for months now. I have used the card to made lots of payments in the past. I even used it in making high ticket payment. i.e buying packages that worth over $2,000. I uses the card to register domain name online. Most nigerian banks are now in partnership with Visa Card and Mastercard int’l now. So this is not issue now. There are other alternatives like fastecash and graphcard.
However, I understand some people may have problem using this card through some nigerians internet service providers like multilinks and starcomms. But their is a way to go about this. You can use proxy service in this case provided what you want to do is legitimate.
It is not a must you have USA address or phone number however if it is necessary you have either you can contact fastecash or graphcard.
Now paypal.com - should inability to use paypal account ‘legitimately’ be obstacle to your internet business as a nigeria?
My answer is - absolutely NO.
See it is not a must you have paypal account if you understand internet marketing fundamentals. It is not only nigerians that paypal did not allow to use their service ‘legally’. There are marketers in those other countries that are not allowed as well. I know some of this guys. They earn over $50,000 a month using internet and they don’t have paypal account. I don’t have paypal account as well and I am doing as much. So you don’t really have any excuse.
Whether paypal accept nigerians or not there are several ways we can earn nice income using internet technology legitimately.
(Note: I said legitimately because some nigerians have been able to find a way around using it. But the only truth is that paypal did not allow nigerian.)
I know this will generate lots of reactions. Just post your comment here. We can debate it.
Am frustrated in life cos of this paypal of a thing pls help me i know it required cash but pls help me.
Sorry friend, paypal don’t accept Nigerians now that is simple.

They are full of Solutions to all online problems! It is a ponit of contact and reference to me.
God Bless you !!!!!!!!!
is there any other means i can receive my payment online without credit card or paypal.
Rich Kid’s Response:
What are you receiving payment for? Are you selling products (digital/physical)? or are you an affiliate marketer.
Lateef
This is nice. I agree totally that non acceptance of Nigerians by PayPal is not an excuse not to do business online. There are other means of earning income legitimately without the use of PayPal. For example, ALERTPAY is a good alternative and they accept Nigerians.
Please, this is not to say that doing business online without PayPal is easy, that will be self-deception. Cheers.
Rich Kid’s response:
You are right my brother.
Doing business online without paypal might seems uneasy. But it depends on the way we are looking at it.
Thank you so much Lateef, I have my blogger now and I have receive payment letter on my adsense. More power to you……….But I don`t know how to ad search engine to my blog… pls help me…out

Please I want to know anyother alternative like paypal.

in one of your post you talk about do it on your own, and after reading through post, i was despirate to do it on my own, but this paypal issue has alway be my problem, but when i read this post i believe i can overcome paypal. please can you give me some afiliate program i can easy do with using paypal or click bank?
thanks
This post is interesting. The truth is without paypal it is extremely difficult to do online business. Paypal is a company owned by ebay and the largest payment processor in the world. Anyone who is serious about doing business online need a paypal account. I was able to open an account only when I travelled to South Africa. So that is one way of getting the problem. But then not everyone can afford to travel outside the country just to open a paypal account. It is sad that countries like Niger and Benin Republic are listed on Paypal but Nigeria is not.
Yes Rich Kid is right about using 2CO I am not too sure about affiliate merchants in USA sending checks because one of them told me bluntly that there was no way he could send a check to Nigera….Our 419 brothers has done us lots of damage…
Dear Internet Marketing Nigeria,
I am new to your site. I got to know of it in google, the Paypal Article caught my attention.
I been reading some advert recently where the advertisers claim they can help you get a Paypal account linked with a Nigerian Bank, and i wonder if this is possible or just one of those scams. As a reliable source, i would like to know if it is possible to open a Paypal account and link it with a Nigerian Bank account.
Thanks.
I am not sure this is possible…very likely another scam. Paypals privacy statement is clear on this. Moreover paypal accounts are linked to credit cards and not specific banks. If the adveriser Olurotimi saw claims to do this for a fee, then run with ya money! paypal account services are free.

Steve - forget the idea of opening paypal account in nigeria. SIMPLE. At least for now.
do business on the net pay into ur creditcard and hw do u get paid the money u earn doing business on the net without paypal and other merchants
Interesting post by you all. Am equally a Nigerian. 90% of these post have put blame on PayPal for not accepting Nigerians but I choose to object! why not blame our bad brothers that have tainted the image of the country so badly, people even praise them for such “feats”. The fact is straight, if Nigeria is clean, PayPal will love to expand their business. It’s that simple! We talk of PayPal here cos it’s popular, there are hundred other sites that dont accept Nigerians and the list just came down when Ribadu was on fire.
I have been in online business for the past 7 years and I know what I face with this Nigerian nationality issue and the most unfortunate thing is that it’s not getting better. Our school children are now following that same path, you see a 16 year old secondary student in the cafe spamming mails in the hope to one day hit it as his elders do, rather than follow the path of hardwork and industry. Let me say here, there’s no business or profession in the world that promisses something for nothing and where we choose to tread that path, we are doomed.
Let me go straight and make things clear regarding payment options. What you have to consider is what kind of business are you doing on the internet? If you are selling software or services, then you dont necessarily have to use paypal. What you need is a merchant account company. What do they do? They simply process credit card payments from your buyers and remit the money into your account with them, and at the end of the month, you can collect all your funds through wire transfer, mainly for nigerians. What is wire transfer? You simply open a domiciliary account in Dollars with any nigerian bank, like UBA, Oceanic, Zenith, GTB etc and request for wire details. You then give this detail to your merchant so they can wire money down to your dorm account at the end of the month and you can spend. Please note, merchants cannot send money to your naira account straight, it’s through Dorm account and it’s simple to open one with just $100. Examples of merchants that accept nigerians are http://www.2co.com, http://www.plimus.com, http://www.shareit.com, http://www.reg.net, http://www.alertpay.com, http://www.swreg.org etc
I’ll continue with the other option for affiliate programs later on, please let’s say no to these fraudsters and stop praising them, they do more harm to us than we can see in nigeria.
Thanks.
