5 alternative payment solution to paypal

by Rich Kid on March 17, 2008

alterpay.com

One of us by the name Oluwatoyin suggested alertpay.com as alternative to paypal for receiving payment by nigerian internet marketer selling product on internet. It sounds interesting. So I decided update my knowledge of their service.

I first read about alertpay.com few years ago but because their service then wasn’t really encouraging compare to what I got from 2checkout I didn’t care to try them. When I visited the website early today it is obvious that they have improve their service alot.

It will be a bit difficult for me to just jump into conclusion now on whether you should use alert pay or not. Give me time to test their service or get more information from their clients. But meanwhile you can visit their website to read more about their service.

Check alertpay here – www.alertpay.com

Their is a link to new article on cnn website on alternative payment option to paypal. The news is quite interesting. The author of the article Emily Maltby suggested 5 companies namely;

Digital River
2Checkout
Alertpay
TrialPay
e-junkie

Of all 5 suggested alternative service to paypal only 2checkout and alertpay.com looks promising to me.

I have gone through the 5 paypal alternatives and the top two in my opinion are 2checkout and alert pay, both sites look “Naija friendly” and you can register as a Nigerian without fear of them freezing your account, however i would recommend that we should still wait to see the outcome of Mr.Lateef’s review of their services before making the next move.

Mr. Moses Amayominor July 5, 2008 at 10:06 am

Hi Olajide,
The above alternative payments does not solve members problem in the payment and receiving money from the internet. i would appeal to you, you workout a system of payment for us members with paypal.com, paydotcom.com,UsFreeads .com and others. The option only from clicbank.com is not enough.I commend your effort in the account opening of with clickbank.com that is going on now.
THANKS.

Rich Kid’s Response:

To make payment online is simple. You need prepaid debit or credit card. Fastecash, zenith websurfer card, or prepaid or original card from local banks.

Now to receive payment online –

Paypal.com, and other services that are attached to it are not for you. Simple. Some people may go back door. But then their is limit to amount you can have on your account.

Now here is what I understand. If you want to promote affiliate program and it is a must that they pay you through paypal I will advice that you just look for another program that will send your payment through check or customized prepaid card.

If you can find a way to go back door, clickbank is still a better. Because all you need is foreign address. We can secure you uk address now. And you get your check here.

However, if you have a product to sell you can use 2checkout, shareit.com or plimus. Those services have been researched and confirmed.

The only problem is most of our people are in search of opportunity and not building business.

GBConcepts October 28, 2008 at 8:12 am

Hi Lateef,
I have been following your progress online and I want to let you know that you are doing a good job.
please keep up the Good Work.

That said, Please I need to know if you or anyone knows about sites that accept VirtualMoneyInc. debit cards.

I have one and I don’t know what to do with it.
Please I also need a Uk address so I can trade online.

Please kindly help. Thank you.

Rich Kid October 28, 2008 at 2:19 pm

You have a card and don’t know what to do with it. That’s funny my brother. You may want to re-phrase your question. probably that’s not what you mean.

Anyway, you don’t even need virtualmoney card because there are other ways of getting card here in nigeria.

We can provide you uk address. Let us know when you are ready.

Theophiluz Ilabeshi January 14, 2009 at 8:06 pm

hello, i need you to let me knw how i can shop from nigerian and foriegn website using my atm cards.

Rich Kid’s Response:

Dear Theophiluz, if you want to buy from nigerian site with your atm that’s possible as long as they are accepting your card. But foreign sites won’t accept your local atm. Consider getting prepaid debit/credit card from your bank or consider using services of fastecash.com and graphcard.com.

Alex January 25, 2009 at 1:06 pm

Accepting payments on your website and making purchases online in Nigeria could be achieved conveniently using Netnaira, – http://www.netnaira.com (i.e you could own a merchant account or a personal account).
Its also easy to fund your account using your Interswitch, E-tranzact, Vpay cards and offers sufficient security with respect to your online transactions.

I have used Graphcard services to buy shipable goods successfully for sometime, but each time I try to buy downloadable items such as badly-needed computer software, ebooks, etc, I run into serious problems-outright rejection from the site in most cases. Is it becuase of the IP address originating from Nigeria?

What should I do?

wales December 24, 2009 at 3:43 pm

AlertPay accepts nigerians and its completely free but they have proxy detection on their servers so any attempt to access your account behind proxies or socks could lead to suspension of your account. You have to upload your ID and utility bill to get verified. But to be able to accept payment via credit card you have to provide your website for review and they dont seems to accept credit card from some certain regions as well.

I can setup Paypal account, assist you in ecommerce, design great website to sell your products, get usa number and other country numbers, us +uk sims, get a virtual us, uk, europe address, the trick of verifying paypal using your nigeria visa card and how to access your paypal without been blocked or limited and much moree…

mofe March 6, 2010 at 10:02 am

The comments on AlertPay seem to be overlooking the fact that in the withdrawal options they stated, you cannot withdraw to a Nigerian bank account. There is a provision to deposit, but non to withdraw. This make sno sense to me. I guess the best way to clear this would be to call them and ask.

samuel kolawole oluwasanya March 8, 2010 at 10:28 am
