The most viewed, read, and commented article on this website is my article on paypal titled ‘enough of paypal nonsense‘. When I was writing the article it’s not that I didn’t understand the pain you are experiencing for been disallowed by paypal. I’m in it too. But I just resolved not to allow it to affect my goal of making money online.

Since then I have been telling people at events and through write ups to forget about paypal, at least for now. But unfortunately some people are so determined to find a way to open paypal account no matter worth. In the process, majority of them ends up losing thousands of naira to GATEKEEPERS that sells them HOLY GRAIL solution to paypal account. Does it work. Not 1 out of 100 that have heard.

See, I will not sell or even share information with you if I’m not sure it will be of good help to you. Not even when you pester me everyday.

Yesterday, I came across one article on how to open and verify paypal account online. The website belongs to a fellow nigerian. The fellow gives step by step guide (that looks like what some of the guys are selling for Nx,000′s) on how to open paypal account and verify it. I don’t know how true this is. I want you to find out yourself. But please read everything very well.

Before I share the link with you let me quickly tell you the reason why I am doing this. At our last millionaire in training event. After answering a question on paypal. I don’t need paypal to make money online.

Despite my strong believe in the use of technology have always had my skepticism about InternetSwitch Nigeria Limited online payment gateway. It all started a day I wanted to use my ATM card to buy something online from a website that uses interswith payment gateway. I had not-so-good experience. Since, then I said I will never use my ATM card to make payment online because of security flaws that I noticed.

Two days ago I received email purported to be from Interswith Nigeria Limited. Here is the copy of the mail….

This is to inform all customers of our affiliate banks that the crime on ATM and Cash Card in this country is so high that they should be very careful on the information they respond to.

Another development has been that our ISSURANCE COMPANY is making arrangement to pay back all the money stolen from our customers; we have gotten the record of all stolen cards from the banks

We strongly recommend that all ATM/CASH CARD USER MUST register his or her card in this secured web. All cards registered in this database will not be useful to unauthorized person who may try to use the information if stolen.

Did you think that message could truly be from InterSwitch?

How did Interswitch know my email address? Could it be from the bank?

If the message is from interswitch why did they need my card and pink information before they protect me?

The sender address from the message reads info_interswitchng@livedoor.com. I can’t imagine how such a corporate body will be using free email account.

I think it is obvious that the message is from B.A.D guys that wanted to steel my money.

If you give your card information on such site you may end up losing your money.

One of the main reason why I don’t subscribe to the idea of using ATM card just anywhere and anyhow is because your card is link to your account. Some even often link their card to two accounts. If they are able to access your card, you whole wealth is at risk.

One of us by the name Oluwatoyin suggested alertpay.com as alternative to paypal for receiving payment by nigerian internet marketer selling product on internet. It sounds interesting. So I decided update my knowledge of their service.

I first read about alertpay.com few years ago but because their service then wasn’t really encouraging compare to what I got from 2checkout I didn’t care to try them. When I visited the website early today it is obvious that they have improve their service alot.

It will be a bit difficult for me to just jump into conclusion now on whether you should use alert pay or not. Give me time to test their service or get more information from their clients. But meanwhile you can visit their website to read more about their service.
