Happy New year! So its 2009.
Today is the 5th day of the year and the Big Bang kicks off today …It promise to be Big. All I can say is “It’s time for a CHANGE. Yes, its time for RESULT.” Are you set for the journey ahead?

…As I Meditate.
It was as if I had a voice saying “the holidays are over.” “But what does that have to do with the New Year?” Another voice asked. A third voice then said. “It’s time to get back to work.”

Work! screamed the first two voices, and without wasting time, the third voice replied saying, “YES SERIOUS AND PRODUCTIVE WORK.”

“Where do I start?” Asked one of the first two voices. “After all I have been working all through the other years.”

The third voice finally asked the other two voices, the following questions before going silent.

First it said, “you’ve bought a lot of revenue-generating training material, attended seminars, read up every email you got from those on whose list you are, but how many of them have you actually followed to the very end?”

“Are you actually doing what is required of you?”

“You have some results to show for it but how explosive is the result compare to the information at your disposal?”

The best part of the questions that actually got the first two voices thinking, was the question;

“In this one year will you make it a priority to take the bull by the horns and build an explosive Internet business?”

Dear friend and reader, while the above illustration may sound like a story, where would you place yourself in that conversation? First, Second or the third voice?

If my guess is right, then you will want to take some time and actually ponder on the question, “In this one year will I make it a priority to take the bull by the horns and build an explosive Internet business?”

And if you are a working class, you can rephrase the question as “Is this the year that I will quit my JOB because I AM making more money online than my BOSS can ever pay me? - I purposely personalize those statement …just to enable it sink deep down your imagination.

As you think about the beginning of the New Year and all the things you want to achieve, below are a few lines to meditate on, it will surely give light to your internet marketing dreams even as the Big Bang kicks off today.

First I want you to know that 2008 is gone forever.
However, it was a remarkable year, one that left us with lots of memories. It left a significant footprint in the sands of history. 2008 will always be remembered by student of history …Americans …Kenyans …as well as Nigerians.

It was a year that put to office the 44th President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama, the first African American to be elected President of the United States …All things are possible. That was the lesson.

One question you may ask yourself “Did he or his parent ever imagined he might run for president, talk less of winning?”

…Actually if they did, they may as well have called him BARRY instead of BARACK – Laughing.

Back here in Nigeria, it was a thing of joy as the Labour Party flag bearer Adams Oshiomole witnessed the election results upturned and himself declared winner of the gubernatorial position and eventually sworn in.

And for those of us at Internet Marketing Nigeria, it was a year of achievement and to our subscribes I know it was a turning point in the life of many especially for the lucky winner of our do it all for you web project -Jimmy Tonade.

Nevertheless, it was not all good, the whole world in general had it own fair share of the bad times that 2008 brought. Many were affected by the Global Crisis.

There were reports of earthquakes with China accounting for a substantial amount of casualties.

Whether you heard of it or not, there were incidents of suicide killings and bombings in Iraq and more recently Mumbai in India.

The Nigeria stock market crash was yet another blow that left many broke and confuse. I learnt that some people had to take their lives, maybe they had all their life savings in there.

Some stock brokers went into hiding, trying to save their heads after all the failed advice they had left their clients with.

You may never have to remember the Jos riots that led to the death of over two hundred people and an undisclosed number of National Youth Service Corps members but what of those that were directly affected.

…Not a pleasant experience.

Why am I bring this up at a time like this, when we are suppose to be celebrating life? And looking up to a promising year.

Dear friend, I don’t know for you but I know there are a lot of people who will get carried away by the success they already have and forget there is even more to achieve. Refuse to be one.

If for you, 2008 was nothing good to write about then I have to mention this. However bad it has been, dwelling in the past won’t get you anywhere.

Failures, challenges and mistakes are inevitable in life. You may be faced with some disturbing ones. However refuse the temptation of never wanting to venture out because of the fear of failure. For It is not how many times you fail that matters, what matters is your ability to get up, dust yourself and say to yourself “yet another trial”.

Do yourself a favor to forget the past …put the past where it belongs – behind you and move on with your life. This is your year! You can make it.

Finally, I want you to know that for the fact you are living and reading this, you should be thankful to God and that this is a confirmation that if you play your part, the year will be a great one for you.

Once again, on behave of IMN, Happy New year to every Nigerian and also to all our subscribes and readers in all the countries of the world.

Have a great year.

“What will be, will be….the future’s not our’s to see, ke, sa-rah, sa-rah.” – lyrics from a song.

As the curtain closes on 2008, you should be getting ready for 2009. In our own small way will have made it a priority to guide you into 2009 that why we have been providing you with vital information at no extra cost to you since the very first day of December.

And we are presently setting the stage to bring to you the 90days big bang training at almost zero cost. A program that is simple about one thing: results for your bank account.

Starting from the 5th day of January 2009, you will be getting a step by step action plan on best way to make money on the internet.

But this is for a seleted few …a group of lucky people. Go find out if you are among the lucky ones.

However, One thing remains very important if you are to achieve your internet marketing dreams in 2009. No matter the amount of information we make available to you. If you do not take the responsiblity of applying them, then you may as well forgo your dreams.

Each year, you are adviced to set goals, which you go ahead to set but at the end of the year, you end up achieving just a few and then you go ahead to set the same goals for the following year.

But, while doing this you can’t help not being troubled, sometimes you find yourself, questioning your abilities. You may be asking the following questions;

Why after so much effort, I only fail … and on trying again … I still fail again?

How do I achieve my goals this time around?

Ever pause to ponder on the above issues at all? If YES, then I must say you are not along.

However, if NO then you are either making some good progress with your set goals or you are just another fellow that is waiting to take whatever life brings.

Well, while you may want to agree with the statement “what will be, will be….the future’s not our’s to see, ke, sa-rah, sa-rah.” Just as a song writer put it. I want you to know that If you ever desire a better future then it will take you to make it happen.

Now, whether its Personal, Family or Business Goals, do you know the 3 most imortant reasons why you failed to achieve your set goals? …In just a moment, you will discovery these 3 simple but very imortant reasons why you failed to achieve your Internet marketing goals?

Setting goals is one thing while going for your goals is yet another and it is the latter that makes you.

While you are dreaming of starting and owning an internet business that will suddendly change your life, affect your bank account and make you a highly sort after consultant.

I want to show you a simple way to achieve such goals this time. And if only you will follow me on this, you will definately come to see a tremendous change in 2009.

What are the 3 most important reason why you failed to achieve your internet marketing goals?

1) Failure on your part to set achievable Goals.
That might sound simple …but many a times we seems to do the opposite. It is not enough to set goals. You must make sure you are setting achievable goals.

How do you set achievable goals?

Don’t just say I want to make $100,000 online by the end of 2009. Though that is very achievable, even if you are a complete newbie. You should rather be able to break it down to something very realistic.

When you set and write Goals, do you make it in such a way that it will guide you on what you will need to do daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annually?

Below is the guideline I personal follow:

A year a dream

A month a change

A week a goal

A day a task.

With this in mind at the end of any year, all I have to do is start with the end in mind (for instance a dream of $100,000 by year end) then I try to figure out what change I must see by the end of each month to accomplish the dream (An extra 500 paying subscribers on my niche site or to create 2 or more profitable mini niche site monthly that brings in an extra $500 each monthly).

Bearing in mind that I want to see a change of an extra 500 paying subscribers monthly, I could as well set a weekly goal of contacting 2 or more JV partners, who I will be asking to add one of my ebooks as a bonus to their product as a value for their subscribes. All their subscribes will be doing to get the ebook will be to fill a short form (Opt in). He get value for his subscribes while I get paying subscribers.

And for the daily task, I start out with finding my much needed JV partners and for another day I just come up with a well written mail that I will be sending out to my likely to be JV partners.

…That just the simplest illustration of the guideline I and many successful online marketers follow. To have a well detailed guide, you may join our 90days big bang training.

2) Not writing them down.
At this point, don’t forget to Write out your Goals, don’t get tricked into commiting your Goals to memory …WRITE them down , stick them where you will see them often …feel free to carry them in your wallet.

3) Not focusing on them until you achieve them.
You have to stay focus. Focus …Focus …Focus. I think it was Robert kiyosaki who in one of his book gave the below acronyms for focus.

F – Follow

O – One

C – Course

U – Until

S – Successful

This is self explanatary.

In summary, what you will want to do is to first see the Very end from the beginning and that is what will have been helping you see …it all about the lifestyle, where you are the boss, determine your working hours. when?, where? and how? you want to work.

What you could do with $100,000 through out the year …maybe it a new car, a house or you might have been thinking of tieing the knot with that beautiful woman as my Chairman will always put it or do i say your African queen according to Tuface.

Once you can see a clear picture of the end, you will then want to have short term goals. These are simple and smaller steps you will have to achieve to get you to your bigger goals. The questions you might have to ask yourself here is, What are the little things that must be done or met in order for your to accomplished your bigger Goals?

Come to think of it, don’t you think is easier to achieve little things which will inturn bring you the satisfaction and motivation to forge ahead and go for your bigger Goal?

Now don’t just sit there reading this, bring out your pen or pencil, is time to put down your goals and if you have already done that you might want to make it more realistic.

And don’t forget, the 90days Big bang training, this is the “BOTTOM POT” of all the information will have been bringing to you since the very first day of this month. You will be getting tips and ideas that will help make 2009 better than past 10yrs of your life.

Compliment of the seasons.

If it is to be, it’s up to me! -Anonymous

Hello and welcome to December, the very last month of this year 2008. I think and I know that this is a perfect time to start setting your goals for 2009 and that is if you have not started doing so already?

Did you set goals for 2008?

…Did you achieve your 2008 goals? If you did not what about consulting your compass, so you can start doing necessary corrections and adjustment where need be.

Do you feel helpless?

Are you tired of living paycheck to paycheck?

Are you not tired of reading about how some guys just like you are making a boat load of cash while you are yet to make a dime and yet you have bought into every formular and system, attended every seminars and read every single ebooks that came your way.

Can you relate to any of this?

Do you know that you can take charge of your future to a very large extend?

Dear friend, I want you to join me in doing this little exercise but before I share it with you, read this short but terrible story.

A friend of my recently told me about a friend of his who work in a job that makes him to get up as early as 4am, so he can quickly get ready for work, bit the traffic and get to work on time. The worse of it all is that he can’t leave the office until about 8pm, getting back to the road he is held back by traffic and at times he just finds it difficult to get bus on time. This makes him get back home around 10.30pm most night.

What a terrible experience? But the fact remains that many are still stuck in this kind of dead end jobs.

Now, Read through the next few paragraphs, after which I will like you to suspend reading any further and trying doing the exercise for the next 30minutes or more.

Are you ready? Let go.

Close your eyes, if you have to then try and picture what you want for yourself in the next six months to one year.

For those of you working in jobs, you don’t like and conditions you won’t even wish your enemies like the one above. How will you like to walk into the office of your boss by the end of next year and tell him, “Sir, I have decided to redirect my skills, knowledge and energy? I have choosen to follow my passion, you are thereby fired!”

What about starting or growing that dream business of yours?

Imagine going on vacation to the United State or any other country of your choice by the end of next year.

What about getting the branch Manager of your bank to come to know you in person just because of the change your account will experience? I mean you having a very healthy bank account.

Imagine buying or building a new house, in one of the choicest area around town and having your parents, brothers, sisters even your friends come over. Taking them around the house …showing them the new car you just bought and finally you walk them over to your computer …punch in the URL of your first website, as it loads you turn to them and say, “Here is one of my businesses. I was able to buy this house and my car from the proceeds of this website.”

Remember, there is no limit to what you can imagine. Only the one you choose to place on your imagination. So let your imagination run wide.

Wait a minute, you are not allowed to read beyond these lines, if you have not done the above exercise.

With the above questions and exercise you should be able and ready to take a deep look at how you have spent your time, money, resources this very pasting year and start preparing yourself for the coming year.

While many wait for the beginning of a new year before setting their goals, starting early will definitely allow you plenty of time to decide what you really want to achieve come 2009.

However, if you are quite familiar with how Goals are set and achieved, you know that you have to continue to consult your compass which might lead you to doing course corrections were necessary. This is one basic reason why you must start setting your goals now, if you haven’t?

And if you happen to be among those who just find it difficult to write down their goals but rather commit it to memory, I will advice you turn a new leave today and start writing down your goals, so you can always go back to it and checkout your progress as frequent as possible, thereby making necessary adjustment where need be.

You see, I don’t think I know of any successful person that has made it over the years that is not a goal getter who keep setting, adjustment and focusing on their set goals.

Finally, I want you to know that without goals, you are just like someone who set out on a journey without any specific destination in mind.

The value of setting goals and staying focus until you hit it can not be overemphasized …More than anything else you must have the strong desire to start now and if you are still reading this I think I can feel that strong desire in you. So, while not hurry to http://www.millionaireintraining.net and check if you still have a chance.

Make sure you reserve your seat today.

It is one event you must not miss this year, as it will surely be a guide for you as you set your online goals for 2009. You will be learning a lot of things that can make a lot of difference in what you do in 2009.

See you at the event.
This has always been the same in the past, every new year comes with loads of opportunities and possibilities. The question now is will 2009 be different from 2008, 2007 and past years?

A big question only you can answer.

At the beginning of the year, you are full of hope that 2008 will be the year of your financial breakthrough using internet technology to build and grow your business. I don’t know exactly what your goals was at the beginning of the year but if you haven’t achieve your goal for 2008 with your online business, you need to ask yourself why this is so?

Why didn’t you achieve your online goal?

No matter what your response may be, just let me tell you that you are not alone.

I met a lot of business opportunity seekers and internet entrepreneurs this year at internet marketing events that I attended. And from record in my email box I have responded to over 7,000 messages from Nigerians alone. From this entire encounter I can confidently tell you that you are not alone.

Lots of people started like you and got sidetracked and distracted by new opportunities and products. Many get stucked quickly and frustrated and move on to something else without giving what they were doing initially enough time to see results. Some allow family jealousy, rejection and fear of failure and change to affect their goal in 2008.

Calving Coolidge, one time president of America once said that:

”Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

It’s obvious that you can’t achieve your financial goal using internet technology without persistence.

So, I ask you again; will 2009 be different from past years?

Sure it can if you start doing something today.

Here are my suggestions for you today my friend.

Take you pen and a sheet of paper.

Make a list of goals you want to achieve in 2009. List out everything. Forget about how you are going to achieve them now.

Now look at your list, did you think you can give all it takes to achieve your listed goals.

It’s all about CHANGE.

For next 30 days you will be getting daily tips and ideas of how you can make 2009 better than past 10yrs of your life.

But before tomorrow – check out my resources of the day today.

It is a book by Karl Warren that I got right to share with you. The title of the book is Million Dollar Briefcase.

In Million dollar Briefcase you will learn:

The person who goes farthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare. The sure-thing boat never gets far from shore. - Dale Carnegie

How times flies? It was just about this time last year that our own Rich Kid, Lateef Olajide was honoured as the young entrepreneur of the year 2007. An event that left those of us that were actually present inspired.

Behold! It’s 2008 and as it has been a practice for the award to be held towards the end of each year, that of this year was no exception as the award took place on Saturday the 8th of November.

A BRIEF LOOK AT THE EVENT

…Award! Award!! Award!!!

As this year’s award took place, all roads led to the Lagos Sheraton Hotel & Suites where the event was schedule to hold. Present at the event were readers of SuccessDigest Extra, members of SuccessDigest leaders club, members of Successful Entrepreneurs Network (SEN), members of the Board of the organization, friends and well wishers of the awardees and that of Complete Communications, publishers of SuccessDigest and Complete Sports.

Among the many personalities who graced the award ceremony were well known clerics like Bishop Moses, Bishop Geroge Amu and Pastor Ehimika Emmanuel.

At about 2.15, with many of the guest and participants seated, the anchor for the event finally took to the podium. He called for the opening prayers after which Dr. Sunny Obazu-Ojeagbase, the President/founder of Success Attitude Development Center, organizers of the award, gave his welcome address.

The time finally came for the award proper. One after the other the awardees were called upon to be honoured. Among the awardees were great entrepreneurs who have contributed immensely to the economic growth of our great country, Nigeria. They include Dipo Davies, Publisher/CEO, Castles Magazine, Mrs. Ibidun Ituah-Ighodalo, CEO, Elizabelt-R, Mrs Tara Fela-Durotoye, CEO, House of Tara, Mr. Sunny Elem, MD/CEO, Wealth Team Networks, Mrs. Betty Irabor, Editor-in-chief, Genevieve Magazine,

Also awarded were Mr. Oluwasanmi Akindipe MD/CEO, Set Consultant Service, Mr. Gbeminiyi Oluwabusola, MD, Techclick Limited,(link), Mr. Tajudeen Adepetu, MD/CEO, Consolidated Media Associates Limited, Paul Oluwabanjo, MD/CEO, Webpower Continental Services.

One of the highlights of the event, that might have probably brought many SENetworkers to the event was the Raffle draws in which Mr. Kenneth Omoregbe won the 1st prize of the (KIA PICANTO CAR) while Kalu Peace won the 2nd prize of ($500,000) worth of shares. The 3rd price was won by Abikoye Joseph, making him the proud owner of a brand new laptop.

Apart from the winners of the raffle draws, also rewarded were three Other SENetworkers who were said to have been able to register more people into the network.

In between the presentations of awards and rewards, was a short drama pieces, traditional dance, musical stage performance which was performed by the combined SuccessDigest Leaders’ Club (SDLC) and Aity Inyang Band. Pastor Ehimika Emmanuel also gave a brief motivational talk. All these made the event a very entertaining and memorable ceremony.

The award been the 12th of its kind finally came to an end after the vice president, Pastor (Mrs.) Esther Obazu-Ojeagbase gave the vote of thanks while Bishop Amu said the closing prayers. At this junction I must say that the event was more organized than the previous ones.

I therefore use this opportunity to say well done to the organization and to let them know that we are expecting more improvement come next year and to the recipients of this years award as well as to the winner of SENetwork rewards, I say a big Congratulation.

LESSONS FOR ALL
The award organized by the publishers of SuccessDigest Extra with the vision of discovering, encouraging and honouring exceptional entrepreneurs in Nigeria was yet another success and inspiration to many.

As an entrepreneur, business person, internet marketer, information marketer and/or success minded fellow, this I know for sure is a time of the year when most of us reflect on what we might have achieved and what we might have not.

Are you feeling tired?

Are you stuck in the middle?

Are you on the verge of giving up?

Are you considering quitting?

Dear friend, why it may not be surprising that many of us struggle very hard to achieve success. There are still quite a number of people who make it to the top and become very popular just like those who had just been honoured.

There is also these other group of people who seems to get tired along the line only to give up their precious dreams; they are always complaining about how hard it is to learn new things and how difficult it is to get along. They seem to have every reason why things don’t work.

Before you decide which group you belong to and which you might want to stitch to, let take a look at what the awardees had in common. During the award ceremony, while the awardees stood, waiting to be honoured, a short video clip of an interview that probably took place in their individual offices, about their journey to success was shown to the participants of the event. They were all inspiring.

What the awardees had in common.

1) They are Entrepreneur who saw and took hold of opportunity.

2) They had challenges/failures at some point in time.

3) They had setbacks which they actually took as stepping stones.

4) They all have a story to tell. This is what I call “the Story behind the Glory”.

5) They did not get their over night.

6) They refuse to accept defeat. One shocking example was what Mr. Sunny Elem, MD/CEO, Wealth Team Networks said during his interview. He said there was a time when he had to sleep in a bus. Who could ever think that such a superstar, once had to sleep in a bus, if he had not told the story himself?

I have only named a few of what they had in common, if you were at the event you might want to add your own observation.

Dear reader, I decided to share this with you today, to encourage and motivate you just as the event had motivated those of us who were present.

I believe that success in life and business is built over time and for those of us who are internet marketer, I want you to know that, it takes one skill at a time to get there.

When you start out, you likely start by learning how to pick a niche market that has buyers. You also get to learn how to do keyword research, how to go about blogging, writing and submission of articles, etc.

Like I wrote in one of my past articles tittled Internet Marketing: The learning curve. “As you advance, you might begin to see the need to learn HTML, graphic design, web design, copywriting…Remember it’s a continuous process so don’t be in a hurry to get it all at the start…”

Yes, you can’t dive at it all at once; rather you might choose to learn something like keyword research this week, next week or there about you decide to learn blogging and so on. One thing you will also want to consider is the amount of time you are willing to spend on a daily/weekly basis.

Why it’s no lies that some people succeed in whatever they do due to genius. I have come to discover that the best and surest way to be successful is by learning and doing what is to be done. Just make sure you draw a line between learning and doing. Don’t wait to learn everything before you set out.

…Keeping learning …keep doing. That is one of the secret of successful people.

Before I bring this article to an end, I want to bring this to your notice; one of the major causes of failure is impatient. You see, majority are guilty of impatient. I am likewise guilty of it. We all need to learn to be patient.

When it comes to money and success we want to see results right away but we can afford to go to school for so many years, most times starting from nursery school up to the university all for the sake of a degree.

Dear friend, the truth is unless you have so much money, influence to get you success or maybe you somehow get hold of a wonder working charm (that is if there is one) you will have to work out whatever is it you want to be successful at and it surely does take some time.

Finally, I want to say to you, Dare! Dare!! Dare!!! That’s life for you. If this ones could do it, you should carry their story every where you go, let it bring you the feeling that you can do it, especially when the storms come ragging.

Until, I come your way again, stay motivated and don’t forget keep learning and keep doing.

Francis Alaeto for IMN

Get and stay out of your comfort zone. I believe that not much happens of any significance when we’re in our comfort zone. I hear people say, “But I’m concerned about security.” My response to that is simple: “Security is for cadavers.”

Never give up. Almost nothing works the first time it’s attempted. Just because what you’re doing does not seem to be working doesn’t mean it won’t work. It just means that it might not work the way you’re doing it. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it, and you wouldn’t have an opportunity.

When you’re ready to quit, you’re closer than you think. There’s an old Chinese saying that I just love, and I believe it is so true. It goes like this: “The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you are about to succeed.”

With regard to whatever worries you, not only accept the worst thing that could happen, but make it a point to quantify what the worst thing could be. Very seldom will the worst consequence be anywhere near as bad as a cloud of “undefined consequences.” My father would tell me early on, when I was struggling and losing my shirt trying to get Parsons Technology going, “Well, Robert, if it doesn’t work, they can’t eat you.”

Focus on what you want to have happen. Remember that old saying, “As you think, so shall you be.”

Take things a day at a time. No matter how difficult your situation is, you can get through it if you don’t look too far into the future and focus on the present moment. You can get through anything one day at a time.

Always be moving forward. Never stop investing. Never stop improving. Never stop doing something new. The moment you stop improving your organization, it starts to die. Make it your goal to be better each and every day, in some small way. Remember the Japanese concept of Kaizen. Small daily improvements eventually result in huge advantages.

Be quick to decide. Remember what General George S. Patton said: “A good plan violently executed today is far and away better than a perfect plan tomorrow.”

Measure everything of significance. I swear this is true. Anything that is measured and watched improves.

Anything that is not managed will deteriorate. If you want to uncover problems you don’t know about, take a few moments and look closely at the areas you haven’t examined for a while. I guarantee you problems will be there.

Pay attention to your competitors, but pay more attention to what you’re doing. When you look at your competitors, remember that everything looks perfect at a distance. Even the planet Earth, if you get far enough into space, looks like a peaceful place.

Never let anybody push you around. In our society, with our laws and even playing field, you have just as much right to what you’re doing as anyone else, provided that what you’re doing is legal.

Never expect life to be fair. Life isn’t fair. You make your own breaks. You’ll be doing good if the only meaning fair has to you is something that you pay when you get on a bus (i.e., fare).

Solve your own problems. You’ll find that by coming up with your own solutions, you’ll develop a competitive edge. Masura Ibuka, the cofounder of Sony, said it best: “You never succeed in technology, business, or anything by following the others.” There’s also an old Asian saying that I remind myself of frequently. It goes like this: “A wise man keeps his own counsel.”

Don’t take yourself too seriously. Lighten up. Often, at least half of what we accomplish is due to luck. None of us are in control as much as we like to think we are.

There’s always a reason to smile. Find it. After all, you’re really lucky just to be alive. Life is short. More and more, I agree with my little brother. He always reminds me: “We’re not here for a long time; we’re here for a good time.”

Rich Kid’s Comment: When I join the internet marketing race, I had money and was comfortable. I failed to do what is important to achieve result because I was comfortable. It took me long time to discover that if you must achieve you may have to burn your bridge.

Rich Kid’s Comment – After trying every opportunity without success the only option I had then was to quit. Of course that was what 2 of my friends we started together did. Today I thank God I didn’t quit and they regret they quit. Most of our people gave up when they are almost there.

Rich Kid’s Comment – There are a lot of challenges. At time things will not work the way you expect. PHCN, high price of fuel, poor internet access etc. You are not alone. Almost every other person experience same thing. So they are not enough excuse not to do right thing.

Rich Kid’s Comment – Remember the pareto’s 80/20 rule. 20% of what you do brings 80 per cent of your result. Concentrate on most important task… one that brings result. God has make one thing equal – TIME. We all have only 24hrs a day. How did you SPEND or INVEST yourself.

I read a story in a book titled PowerPoint for Success by Bob Harrison which confirms starting small as the best way to achieve great success. In the book, the authors share the success secret of Rudolph Guiliani.
Rudolph Giuliani was former mayor of New York City.

“One indication of the kind of changes that transpired during Giuliani’s time as mayor was the reduction in crime. The number of homicides per year nosedived from 1,946 to 642 – a reduction of 67 percent. Overall, crime was reduced by some 5, 000 felonies per week.”

“One of his leadership characteristics, which impressed me, was his concept of “Starting small with success.”

When tackling BIG PROBLEMS, Giuliani would normally find and begin with some small thing that could be done quickly and noticeably.

For instance, when tackling the city’s crime problem, he knew that it would take time to show significant results but that people needed to see improvements soon. He decided to concentrate on two areas that could be changed relatively easily and that the public would notice.”

Giuliani stated, “Small successes can change people’s feelings and can, in themselves, boost morale,”

The question now is this ‘what big task can you start by creating small successes?

Guest Article - Edmund Ng (http://www.internet-empire.com)

Life is full of uncertainties, more so in this century. Almost every
week, you hear of sad natural disasters like Cyclones hitting Myanmar,
Earthquake in Si Chuan and many more. It's a tough world out there. More
importantly there are 6.6 Billion people living in this vulnerable
world.

You are but 'One' of the 6.6 Billion people utilizing earth's resources
but are you making the best of it? How have you repaid the earth? No
I'm no Al Gore and the purpose of this email is not in asking you to
protect the earth's and adapt ways to conserve energy.

Life is Fragile. What if you're dead tomorrow? What happens? The first
thing that comes into your mind is your wife, your children, your
parents, your in laws...the list goes on and on. You think about
money...which should be the least of your concern. Why?

As I said before, there's 6.6 Billion people out there. You are but one
of the 6.6 Billion. If you do your maths, it's really insignificant.
So, what are the things that matter? Money? How many certificates you
have? How big your business is? How many assets you have? Friend, all
these means nothing if you've not repaid the Earth!

What do I mean by that. It is simple, how many people's life have you
impacted? How many people's life have you helped turned around? How many
people have you helped. Basically, we come naked into this world and
we'll leave naked as well. We can't take any of our physical assets,
certifications, money with us. What we can leave behind is our legacy.

What legacy? It is what you want to remember for. I have a habit of
taking a peep at the obituary everytime I see the newspaper. I always look
at the deceased and wondered what have they accomplished in their life
time. Sometimes, you see awards like BBM, PBM which accounts for
nothing.

I have to confess I've got a self professed theory. That is, if you're
not contributing to mankind, there's no meaning in you living on this
earth. That is, you're just a consumer of Earth's resources and have not
contributed to it. Then, God will kind of tell you to hand in your ICs
earlier. (IC = Identity Cards)

The fact that you're alive, is God telling you your time is not up yet.
You'd better do something. You'd better contribute. You'd better help
more people. You'd better leave a legacy.

I know there are many of you who are barely making ends meet. Remember,
your current situation is the result of what you did for the past few
years. The equation is pretty simple and you need to work backwards.

No Goals = Mediocrity = Barely Make Ends Meet
Big Goals = Life of Abundance = Helping More People = Leaving A Legacy.

Start building your legacy now. Set a big goal in how you're going to
help more people and who knows, during the process your life will change
tremendously and you'll achieve your goals and leaving a legacy at the
same time. Be thankful you're still alive and don't assume the Angel
of Death is not knocking on the door soon. Start working your butt off
and contribute to the Earth by helping more people. Maybe God will see
that and let you live longer to accomplish your goals.

~Winston Churchill

For some time now, I have been noticing a growing trend in business opportunity and internet marketing industry not only in this country but worldwide. Many people wants to make money online and they are not ready to do what is necessary to achieve their financial goal. They will build or have their site built for them and will never do anything on it. They will attend seminar either free or paid, immediately they leave the venue of the seminar they forget about the main reason why they attend the seminar in the first place. Honestly, I don’t really know the main cause of this problem. Could it be laziness? Or Is it bad attitude? Well, I think it is more of attitude problem.

Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same. ~Francesca Reigler

Two days ago I made a post requesting for those that are subscriber of superbusinessideas.com to help us by telling us what we can do to make ‘the new super business ideas website’ a success when we relaunch it. This afternoon I got 3 different messages. I will reproduce copy of the messages here without the name of senders. Hope you don’t mind!

Letters -

Hi Lateef,
I cannot recollect being subscribed to your super business ideas but as a subscriber to your mystrey offer 2 with a website already setup by you,i am yet to make any inroad in my internet business and i will use this medium to appeal for your support in this regard.
———————————————————–
Hi Rich Kid,
I subscribed and paid for the super business ideas as advertised then but was surprised that nothing was forthcoming.I even went ahead to further attend one of your seminar, bought a CD on Word Press Blog but hasn’t been able to do anything on that.Anyway, now that the site is back, congrats.
I expect better support this time around. On Word Press Blogging, can you assist me as your subscriber?
—————————————————
my site was just there without knowing its function for the past five months. i think is a wasted effort and money. any help not so easy to throw money away.

Let me openly respond to this 3 messages.

Response to Letter 1 & 2:

We are very glad to have both of you as a paid subscriber. It is quite unfortunate that your sites are still the way we installed it for you. I can remember that we’ve organized seminar twice for all website owners (FREE) where we share tips on how to maintain, get traffic and make money with your site. We even created a complete manual with a lot of screen captures showing you how to manage and profit from your site. Several weeks ago, we set up a member area where you can learn from us, and other members that we installed website for, both of you are yet to join us.

Their is this American proverb that I love it says that ‘Success is a ladder you cannot climb with your hands in your pockets’.

Response to letter 3:

I am very sure the seminar you are talking about must be our free seminar. Even at that I don’t see any reason why you shouldn’t make use of what you learn there. It took us about N100,000 to put that seminar together. You could have help us by telling us reason why you haven’t been able to do anything with the wordpress manual cd that you bought. I can guess your reason will just be another excuse because several other people have install their website on their own with what they learn from that manual.

”The footprint of sand of time is not laid sitting down”
Five months is more than enough to make your site a success. But its just unfortunate that you guys don’t do anything and you are expecting result. Imagine opening a shop sitting down and expecting people to come. It is a bad attitude.

I think it is not your fault completely. Many people have been sold easy way of getting money online. Yes their is money tree on internet but before you can get money from it you will have to put effort.
God gives every bird its food, but He does not throw it into its nest. ~J.G. Holland

You may want to ask me why many find it difficult to do all that is necessary to make their internet business a success?

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. ~Thomas Edison

You see, just like Thomas edison said most of the action steps required looks like ‘hard work’ to some people. It is against their believe of put the money sit down and wait for result.

I can remember the ‘first and only’ internet seminar that I ever attend in this country over 9 years ago organized by SADC (publisher of Success Digest magazine). It was the first opportunity and only opportunity seminar that I ever attended as well. If I can guess right, over 200 people attended that seminar.

At the end of the seminar I can still remember what the publisher of the magazine and the chief-host of the seminar Dr Sunny Ojeagbase (My Rich Dad) said. He said that as interesting as it is hosting all off us, sharing what they see as the latest opportunity and trend that can make us millionaire with us, only 1% will end up using the information. Though I don’t know how sure he was then and can’t even believe it but today it is obvious that less than 1% even use and had success with the information. I thank God ‘I was and I am’ part of those 1% because I will need my accountant to sit by my side to count millions that have been flowing into my account since then.

Some people dream of success… while others wake up and work hard at it. ~Author Unknown

The person who is waiting for something to turn up might start with their shirt sleeves. ~Garth Henrichs

The point that people pay huge amount to learn something in this world doesn’t mean they will use it. Many that paid several hundreds of thousands of naira, invested years of hardwork to study medicine are not even a doctor today.

Last year I joined a millionaire maker mentoring program organized by a US based multi-millionaire coach. Over 100 people register for the program and paid $5,000 each. At the last conference call of the event only 7 people attended. You may want to ask me where the other 93 people went? Well I may not be able to answer the question. But some probably quit or got carried away by other things. Despite the fact that they invested $5,000 (over N600,000) in that training.

Sophia Loren once said that ‘ many people think they want things, but they don’t really have the strength, the discipline. They are weak. I believe that you get what you want if you want it badly enough.’

Be not afraid of going slowly; be afraid only of standing still. ~Chinese Proverb

I think some are just afraid of starting small and going slowly. But why should you? If you have started already work your business everyday as if your future depends on it (i think it does anyway). I once heard Pastor Sam Adeyemi saying that if you stand in the middle of the road you are risking been hit by vehicles from both ends.

Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there. ~Will Rogers

God gave us two ends – one to sit on and one to think with. Success depends on which one you use. Head you win, tail you lose. Henry Clay once said that The time will come when winter will ask you what you were doing all summer. Before that time comes I will advice that you start doing something. Stop waiting for that ship of success to berth. Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle.

The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.

Stop blaming somebody for your inactions. Stop complaining. Start doing something.

Everyone, at some point of his or her life, has dreamed of being somebody special, somebody big. Who hasn’t fantasized about being the one who hits the game-winning homer? Who hasn’t dreamed of being the homecoming queen? And how many times have we dreamed of being rich, or successful, or happy with our relationships?

Often, we dream big dreams and have great aspirations. Unfortunately, our dreams remain just that – dreams. And our aspirations easily collect dust in our attic.

This is a sad turn of events in our life. Instead of experiencing exciting adventures in self actualization, we get caught up in the humdrum of living from day-to-day just barely existing.

But you know what? Life could be so much better, if only we learned to aim higher.

The most common problem to setting goals is the word impossible. Most people get hung up thinking I can’t do this. It’s too hard. It’s too impossible. No one can do this.

However, if everyone thought that, there would be no inventions, no innovations, and no breakthroughs in human accomplishment.

Remember that scientists were baffled when they took a look at the humble bumblebee. Theoretically, they said, it was impossible for the bumblebee to fly. Unfortunately for the bumble, bee no one has told it so. So fly it does.

On the other hand, some people suffer from dreaming totally outrageous dreams and not acting on them. The result? Broken dreams, and tattered aspirations.

If you limit yourself with self-doubt, and self-limiting assumptions, you will never be able to break past what you deem impossible. If you reach too far out into the sky without working towards your goal, you will find yourself clinging on to the impossible dream.

Try this exercise. Take a piece of paper and write down some goals in your life. Under one header, list down things ‘you know you can do’. Under another header, write the things ‘you might be able to do.’ And under one more, list the things that that are ‘impossible for you to do.’

Now look at all the headers strive every day to accomplish the goals that are under things ‘you know you can do’. Check them when you are able to accomplish them. As you slowly are able to check all of your goals under that heading, try accomplishing the goals under the other header-the one that reads ‘you might be able to do.’

As of the items you wrote under things I could do are accomplished, you can move the goals that are under things that are ‘impossible for you to do’ to the list of things ‘you might be able to do.’

As you iterate through this process, you will find out that the goals you thought were impossible become easier to accomplish. And the impossible begin to seem possible after all.

You see, the technique here is not to limit your imagination. It is to aim high, and start working towards that goal little by little. However, it also is unwise to set a goal that is truly unrealistic.

Those who just dream towards a goal without working hard end up disappointed and disillusioned.

On the other hand, if you told someone a hundred years ago that it was possible for man to be on the moon, they would laugh at you. If you had told them that you could send mail from here to the other side of the world in a few seconds, they would say you were out of your mind. But, through sheer desire and perseverance, these impossible dreams are now realities.

Thomas Edison once said that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Nothing could be truer. For one to accomplish his or her dreams, there has to be had work and discipline. But take note that that 1% has to be a think-big dream, and not some easily accomplished one.

Ask any gym rat and he or she will tell you that there can be no gains unless you are put out of your comfort zone. Remember the saying, “No pain, no gain”? That is as true as it can be.

So dream on, friend! Don’t get caught up with your perceived limitations. Think big and work hard to attain those dreams. As you step up the ladder of progress, you will just about find out that the impossible has just become a little bit more possible.
