Basic Computer Skills
Getting to know more about computer is a very good idea. At the beginning, things like learning how to build a website, download and install file, or zip files not to talk of basic things like how to even move a mouse. I can remember the first time I laid my hand on a computer mouse. Its very funny.
Though I end up investing time and money to learn basic things about computer, despite the fact I didn’t even have my own pc then. You have to do the same thing too. I am not saying you need another computer degree to make things work for you. No.

Turning your computer on and off
Using your mouse (right and left clicks)
Finding computer files/applications e.g ms word, notepad, adobe etc on your pc.
Opening and closing files
Saving files
Deleting files
Drag and drop
Highlighting, cut and paste
Starting and ending programs
Downloading software and files
Installing Software
What to do when your computer freezes
Apart from the above I will advice that you learn simple html. HTML means Hypertext Mark-up Language. Check Internet Glossary for full defination. If you are able to know simple html you will be able to create simple website and even edit your website or at least understand the composition of your website.
